Mental Health Locally

Green spaces are important to mental health.  Having access to green spaces can reduce health inequalities, improve well-being, and aid in treatment of mental illness. Some analysis suggests that physical activity in a natural environment can help remedy mild depression and reduce physiological stress indicators. (World Health Organisation)

Luckily in Farnham and the surrounding areas we have an abundance of beautiful local areas for walks. Here are just a few; Farnham Park, Frensham Ponds, Bourne Woods, Chawton House.  

Getting involved with local events and group activities can be great for social and emotional support and connection.

If you’re sporty, why not try walking football or the mental focusing of karate.

Enjoy music and dancing? How about trying Morris dancing or going to a local music event.

For the creative side of you Farnham Pottery and The Maltings have plenty of events and classes to enjoy.
